Journey to OneSelf
A Heart-Mind Retreat is an opportunity to go deeply into the inner teachings of Yoga for personal transformation. Journey to OneSelf will help you:

  • build and free energy so that it can be directed inward
  • optimize physiology to stabilize and clarify the mind
  • reframe thoughts and emotions to transform behavior
  • realign actions with priorities
  • take steps to manifest intention
  • illumine the mind to allow the True Self to emerge.

Journey to OneSelf is a four-day intensive, exploring the nature of human experience at every level. The means and methods to help us overcome suffering, achieve our goals, and realize our true nature evolved in the Yogic and Tantric traditions. We will study how these methods were designed to function in an integrated way, rather than as discrete and separate practices.

Teachings will draw from the Upanisads, Sankhya Karika, Patanjali Yoga Sutra, and the Hatha Yoga Pradipika. A comprehensive set of yoga techniques will be used including: asana, pranayama, chanting, meditation (incorporating chanting, mantra, visualization and inquiry), and ritual (including nyasa and sankalpa).

Join us for a special time of personal integration and transformation using the inner practices of yoga. Each Heart-Mind Retreat is a unique experience based on the student’s individual goals and interests.

Whether you are just taking your first steps on the Yoga path or are an experienced Yoga teacher, please join us. This retreat will immerse you in the traditions of Yoga that have been benefiting humanity for thousands of years, and will send you home with a personal practice that truly sustains your body, Heart and Mind.

Optional mentorship and support is available after the retreat with Mirka Kraftsow to support your integration of the teachings into home life based on your goals and interests.


DAILY SCHEDULE

Your mornings will include group asana practices, teachings on Yoga principles, and experiences to apply these principles using asana, pranayama, chanting, deep relaxation, meditation and personal ritual.

6:30 - 7:45 am -- Morning Practice with Mirka
8:00 - 8:30 am -- Breakfast
9:00 - 11:45 am -- Lecture and Practice with Gary
12:00 - 12:30 pm -- Lunch
2:00 - 5:00 pm -- Lecture with Gary, Practice with Mirka
5:30 - 6:00 pm -- Dinner
7:00 - 8:30 pm -- Evening Session on Thursday and Saturday

In small group experiences, you will have the chance to integrate the teachings and share your insights and discoveries. Evening activities will vary and include music, chanting, and community time.

This is a residential retreat that includes three meals/day and 4 nights lodging.
